We are thrilled to announce that the Visiotech X2 series Body Worn Camera has been awarded the 2024 ASIAL Best New Product of the Year award! This prestigious recognition marks the third ASIAL award for our BWC range since its launch in 2019, underscoring our commitment to innovation and excellence in personal safety technology. We thank our dedicated team and partners for their unwavering support as we continue to set the standard in body worn camera solutions.
The Visiotech VS-X2 body-worn camera stands out for its originality, particularly with features such as mobile duress capability, instant live video verification of incidents, and immediate situational awareness. These attributes significantly enhance rapid response and improve safety within an organisation. However, many organisations lack the necessary monitoring infrastructure to fully utilise these advanced features. Visiotech addresses this challenge with a world first body-worn camera innovation: the option for organisations to either self-monitor or use the new “Contact ID” integration. This integration enables any Commercial Monitoring Centre to provide 24/7 monitoring, ensuring that the safety benefits of the VS-X2 can be realised without the need for extensive in-house resources.
Visiotech enhances this monitoring functionality by embedding a weblink within the Contact ID duress alarm sent to the Commercial Monitoring Centre. This link provides a live video stream directly from the body-worn camera, along with the capability for the monitoring centre to listen to audio or engage in a two-way conversation with the camera user. This allows monitoring centre staff to immediately assess the situation and follow an organisation’s predefined workflow.
To ensure privacy, Visiotech dynamically activates access to the live stream only during a duress event and deactivates it once the event concludes.
Another groundbreaking innovation in body-worn camera technology is the VS-X2’s ability to replace traditional radio systems, enabling team communication through its Press-To-Talk (PTT) feature. This development was driven by customer feedback, particularly from a major Australian retail client. Their staff were burdened with multiple devices, including two-way radios for inter-store communication, a mobile duress system, and body-worn cameras, which they found effective for deterrence and safeguarding staff. The PTT feature on the VS-X2 consolidates these functions into a single device, streamlining operations and enhancing convenience.
